Hyderabad: BRS leader and Siddipet MLA T. Harish Rao on Monday accused Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy of pursuing a political vendetta against K.T. Rama Rao to mask governance failures.
Speaking at Telangana Bhavan following KTR’s appearance before the ACB, Harish Rao alleged that 14 cases had been filed against KTR in the last 18 months.
He said Revanth had failed to deliver on a single promise made to the people and instead resorted to filing FIRs against opposition leaders.
“Shouldn’t a case be filed against Revanth Reddy himself for breaking oaths taken in the name of deities?” he asked.
Harish claimed KTR had enhanced the state’s image by bringing the Formula-E race to Hyderabad, while Revanth had discredited Telangana by hosting beauty pageants no other state had accepted.
He accused the Congress government of using false cases to obstruct KTR ahead of the upcoming local body elections.
Harish said FIRs are being filed indiscriminately even over dissent or raising issues like farmer bonds and commission demands.
He warned that KTR is not just an individual but a political force backed by lakhs of party workers and families. “Those targeting him will be wiped out,” he said.
