HackPrix Season 3 concludes at Lords Institute

Hyderabad: HackPrix Season 3, the flagship international hackathon hosted by Lords Institute of Engineering and Technology (LIET), concluded on Sunday after a 36-hour coding marathon that attracted hundreds of student innovators from India and abroad.

The event brought together more than 550 participants representing over 150 teams from 25 Indian states and several international locations. Organisers said the competition focused on emerging technology sectors and encouraged students to develop practical solutions for real-world challenges.

HackPrix Season 3 attracts global participation

The hackathon featured competitions across six technology domains. These included Generative AI and Machine Learning, Cybersecurity, Blockchain and Web3, IoT and Embedded Systems, Sustainable Development and Open Innovation. According to organisers, HackPrix Season 3 received more than 3,500 applications from India and overseas. After a rigorous screening process, organisers shortlisted over 900 candidates. They then selected more than 550 participants for the final round.

The competitors contested for a prize pool of ₹3 lakh. Organisers completed project evaluations during the event. However, they said a community review and verification process would take place before the final announcement. As a result, organisers expect to declare the winners within a week.

HackPrix Season 3 showcases innovation and entrepreneurship

The closing ceremony attracted academic leaders, industry experts and technology entrepreneurs.

Among those present were Stealth AI founder Najeed Khan, LIET Principal Dr. R. K. Singh, Chairman Syed Basha Mohinuddin, Secretary Dr. Rizwana Begum, Vice Chairman Syed Touseef Ahmed and Joint Secretary Syed Tanveer Ahmed.

Dr. Ch. Santhan Kumar, Dean IQAC and Convenor of the event, said HackPrix Season 3 highlighted the growing innovation capabilities of engineering students.  He said participants demonstrated the ability to solve practical problems through technology-driven solutions.

Najeed Khan praised students for embracing emerging technologies and entrepreneurial thinking. He said the event showcased future technology leaders and innovators.

HackPrix Season 3 strengthens industry-academia collaboration

LIET Principal Dr. R. K. Singh said the institution remained committed to experiential learning and industry engagement. He noted that innovation flourished when students received the right environment, mentorship and challenges.

Chairman Syed Basha Mohinuddin described the hackathon as a reflection of LIET’s commitment to innovation and leadership development. Dr. Rizwana Begum said the platform encouraged students to transform ideas into solutions that addressed societal and industrial needs. Vice Chairman Syed Touseef Ahmed said the participation from across India and abroad reflected the growing reputation of the event. Joint Secretary Syed Tanveer Ahmed added that collaboration among students, mentors, industry experts and technology partners contributed significantly to the programme’s success.

Technology partners included Google Gemini, Sarvam AI, MongoDB, ElevenLabs and Vultr. Major League Hacking, Devfolio and several academic and industry organisations also supported the event.

Participants now await the final outcome of HackPrix Season 3, which organisers expect to announce after completing the review and verification process.
