Hyderabad: The Telangana government constituted a three-member panel to resolve long-pending issues involving 22-A lands and expedite stalled property registrations across the State. The committee was formed following an assurance by Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy in the State Assembly.
The panel will be headed by Chief Commissioner of Land Administration (CCLA) Lokesh Kumar. Law Secretary Papireddy and IG (Registrations and Stamps) Rajiv Gandhi Hanumanthu will serve as members.
The committee was formally finalised on the directives of Revenue Minister Ponguleti Srinivasa Reddy. It will examine revenue entries, classification records, legal disputes and public objections linked to properties listed under Section 22-A.
The panel will focus on eligible private properties that were incorrectly flagged under the 22-A prohibited list. Its review is intended to help resolve cases that have held up property transactions for long periods.
The move followed the Chief Minister’s recently announced 12-point action plan in the Assembly to streamline land administration in the State. The plan covered assigned lands, plots in approved layouts, regularisations under GO 59 and GO 118, NALA charges and unauthorised layouts.
22-A lands review to address registration delays
The government has directed officials to eliminate procedural delays in land-related matters. The committee’s recommendations are expected to provide relief to genuine title holders whose property transactions have remained frozen for years.
The panel will consider records, classifications, legal disputes and public objections while examining the affected properties. The initiative was aimed at ensuring faster administrative action on long-pending cases involving 22-A lands.
