Hyderabad: Governor Jishnu Dev Varma hosted an ‘At Home’ reception at Lok Bhavan in Hyderabad on Monday evening as part of the 77th Republic Day celebrations.
Accordingly, the programme brought together leaders from political, judicial and administrative circles. The tea reception served as a platform for interaction among senior dignitaries and officials.
High Court Chief Justice Justice A K Singh, Assembly Speaker Gaddam Prasad Kumar, and Deputy Chief Minister Mallu Bhatti Vikramarka attended as chief guests. Meanwhile, Union Minister G Kishan Reddy also participated in the event.
State Ministers Uttam Kumar Reddy and D Sridhar Babu were present as well. In addition, senior leaders from various political parties attended the reception.
Republic Day at Home brings political and judicial leaders together
During the programme, MPs and leaders from Congress, BRS and BJP, including Etela Rajender, joined the gathering. Former Haryana Governor Bandaru Dattatreya attended as a special invitee and drew attention with his presence.
Subsequently, Governor Jishnu Dev Varma presented the ‘Governor’s Awards for Excellence’ to individuals who displayed outstanding merit in various fields. He congratulated the awardees and appreciated their service to society.
Afterwards, the Governor personally greeted the guests. He also conveyed Republic Day greetings to all attendees. As a result, Lok Bhavan witnessed a festive atmosphere throughout the evening, with dignitaries interacting and exchanging wishes.
