Government releases employee dues funds of ₹1,000 crore

Hyderabad: The State government released employee dues funds of ₹1,000 crore on Wednesday to clear pending payments to serving and retired employees.

Principal Secretary, Finance, Sandeep Kumar Sultania issued the orders after directions from Deputy Chief Minister Bhatti Vikramarka. With this, the Deputy Chief Minister fulfilled the assurance given in the Assembly.

The government had earlier promised employee unions that it would release ₹700 crore every month. It made those payments up to March 2026. However, Bhatti Vikramarka later reviewed the financial needs of employees. Therefore, he increased the monthly allocation to ₹1,000 crore from the current financial year.

The April allocation was released on a priority basis. The government also cleared all pending General Provident Fund dues up to October 2025. This gave relief to thousands of retired employees awaiting retirement benefits.

In addition, the government directed officials to clear medical bills without delay. Officials were also processing scholarship payments along with medical bills.

Bhatti Vikramarka said the government would not compromise on employees’ health security. He said medical bills must be processed regularly and without delay.

“Employees are partners in governance; addressing their issues is our responsibility,” he said.

Meanwhile, employee unions expressed happiness over the large-scale release of funds.
