Giri Nagar civic issues reviewed under One Ward Every Day programme

Hyderabad: Cyberabad Municipal Corporation Commissioner directed officials to address Giri Nagar civic issues on priority after reviewing problems raised by residents during a ward-level inspection.

The Commissioner visited Giri Nagar Ward under the One Ward Every Day programme. The visit covered Giri Nagar Ward in Chintal Circle under Quthbullapur Zone. The Deputy Commissioner and officials from the departments concerned accompanied the Commissioner during the inspection.

The Commissioner interacted directly with local residents and reviewed their complaints. Officials also examined civic infrastructure requirements and pending works highlighted during the visit.

Giri Nagar civic issues include drainage and waterlogging

Residents raised several Giri Nagar civic issues related to drainage and underground drainage infrastructure. They also highlighted requirements concerning storm-water drains. Waterlogging and nala-related problems figured prominently during the discussions.

The Commissioner asked officials to examine these concerns and take necessary action. Residents also brought pending cement concrete road works and other road-related requirements to the Commissioner’s attention.

Officials reviewed the condition of the roads and the works that required attention. Sanitation formed another major part of the ward-level review. Residents complained about garbage accumulation and sought improvements in cleanliness.

The Commissioner directed the departments concerned to respond to the sanitation problems identified during the inspection. The inspection also covered street lighting and other electrical works in Giri Nagar Ward.

Residents raised requirements concerning community halls and other public facilities. The Commissioner reviewed those demands with the officials concerned. Encroachment-related concerns also came up during interactions with local residents.

In addition, residents raised property tax-related issues during the visit. Officials recorded the concerns for further action by the relevant departments. The Commissioner stressed coordination among different wings of the municipal corporation.

Giri Nagar civic issues to get priority attention

The Commissioner directed officials to take up the identified Giri Nagar civic issues on priority. Departments concerned received instructions to coordinate while addressing problems that required action from multiple wings.

The Commissioner also sought timely action on the complaints and infrastructure requirements raised by residents. The One Ward Every Day visit focused on identifying civic problems through direct interaction at the ward level.

Officials reviewed drainage, UGD, storm-water drains, roads and waterlogging during the inspection. They also examined sanitation, garbage accumulation, streetlights and electrical works.

Community facilities, encroachments and property tax matters formed part of the review as well. The Commissioner directed officials to follow up on the identified works and ensure coordination between departments.

The civic body said the ward visit allowed residents to place local problems directly before senior officials. The Commissioner maintained that departments should act promptly on the Giri Nagar civic issues identified during the inspection.
