Minister Gaddam Vivek lays foundation for ₹8 crore development works in Kyathanpally

Hyderabad: Labour, Employment & Training, Factories, Mines & Geology Minister Gaddam Vivek Venkatswamy on Wednesday launched a series of urban development projects worth over ₹8 crore in Kyathanpally Municipality, located in Mancherial district.

He was accompanied by District Collector Kumar Deepak and Municipal Commissioner Raju during the foundation-laying ceremonies. Speaking at the event, Vivek emphasised the government’s firm commitment to public welfare and infrastructure development, focusing on tangible improvements for local residents.

AMRUT Scheme: ₹40 Crore in Progress, More in Pipeline

The Minister highlighted that the state has already sanctioned ₹40 crore to Kyathanpally under the AMRUT scheme. Nearly 50% of the sanctioned works have been completed, and officials are expediting the rest to ensure that every household receives clean drinking water through tap connections.

He also announced immediate plans to relocate unsafe electric poles, lines, and transformers currently posing risks to public safety. Additionally, ₹15 crore has been earmarked under urban development funds to launch new infrastructure works. The government will also utilise DMFT and CSR funds to further enhance public welfare services.

Focus on Healthcare, Food Security, and Pensions

Vivek revealed that government hospitals are undergoing major upgrades, including the recruitment of additional doctors and staff to improve service delivery. Moreover, officials have cleared long-pending ration card applications, enabling eligible families to receive monthly fine rice under the Public Distribution System (PDS).

In a significant move, pensions for deserving beneficiaries are set to begin next month, ensuring financial stability for the needy.

Breakdown of Key Projects Across Wards

The Minister inaugurated several major projects, including:

  • ₹1.24 crore for works in Ward No. 10 (Retirement Colony Board area)
  • ₹87.58 lakh in Ward No. 6 (Bhagat Singh Nagar) via TUFIDC funds
  • ₹50 lakh in Ward No. 17 (Rajiv Chowk)
  • ₹42.60 lakh in Ward No. 15 (Arumalla Pocham Road)
  • ₹38 lakh in Ward No. 20 (Srinivasa Nagar–Pragathi Nagar junction)
  • ₹28.36 lakh in Ward No. 11 (behind the substation)
  • ₹22.50 lakh in Ward No. 3 (Indira Nagar)
  • ₹20 lakh in Ward No. 21 (Jenda area), funded through urban development schemes
  • ₹15 lakh each in Wards No. 18 (Tagore Stadium Park) and No. 19 (Abraham Nagar Board)

In addition, he inaugurated a ₹57 lakh lighting system on the Railway Over Bridge, funded by DMFT, aimed at improving public safety and night-time visibility.

Minister Vivek Venkatswamy reaffirmed the government’s pledge to develop every locality within the Chennur Assembly constituency. He assured residents that basic amenities would be extended to all communities without delay.
