Gachibowli Police register case after Dutch woman alleges sexual harassment

Hyderabad: Gachibowli Police registered a Gachibowli sexual harassment case after a Dutch woman alleged that a co-resident behaved inappropriately towards her at a co-living hostel in Kondapur. Police launched an investigation based on her complaint.

According to police, the woman had travelled from the Netherlands to India to visit her boyfriend. The couple stayed together at a co-living hostel in Kondapur.

The complainant alleged that another man staying in the same room behaved inappropriately towards her. Following the incident, she returned to the Netherlands.

Gachibowli sexual harassment case under investigation

While in the Netherlands, the woman submitted a complaint to the Indian Embassy regarding the alleged incident. Subsequently, she returned to Hyderabad three days ago and met Gachibowli Police to provide a detailed statement.

Inspector Saidulu said police registered a case based on the complaint. Meanwhile, investigators began examining the allegations and collecting evidence.

Police said the investigation was continuing, and further action would depend on the findings of the probe.
