Hyderabad: An ORR crash near Ghatkesar claimed the lives of a father and his toddler after their car rammed into a water tanker.
The victims were identified as Ved Prakash Reddy (37), a software engineer working in Bengaluru, and his two-and-a-half-year-old son Arjun. The family was travelling from Hanamkonda to Bengaluru when the accident occurred.
According to police, the car entered the Outer Ring Road near Ghatkesar. However, it crashed into a tanker engaged in watering roadside trees near Pedda Amberpet.

The impact crushed the front portion of the car. As a result, Ved Prakash Reddy and his son died on the spot.
Meanwhile, three others in the vehicle—his wife Himabindu, cousin Durgaprasad and his wife Srija—sustained serious injuries. Police shifted the injured to a hospital for treatment.
Police teams rushed to the spot after receiving information and launched rescue operations. At the same time, officials said the condition of the injured remains critical.
Authorities have registered a case and are investigating the circumstances leading to the accident.
