Hyderabad: The Telangana government’s official fact-checking handle on X, FactCheck_Telangana on Tuesday issued a clarification on social media regarding the recent foreign visit of Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy.
The handle said misleading information circulating on social media had led to avoidable misinterpretation. Therefore, it issued the clarification to place verified facts on record.
According to the statement, officials planned and coordinated the Chief Minister’s travel schedule well in advance. Moreover, authorities aligned the itinerary with pre-approved programmes at each destination.
Revanth Reddy foreign visit followed approved schedule
As part of Telangana’s global outreach efforts, the Chief Minister participated in the World Economic Forum at Davos. After completing official engagements, he departed Davos strictly as per the approved schedule.
Subsequently, Revanth Reddy travelled to the United States as planned. During the visit, he attended an academic programme at Harvard University.
Officials said the programme ran according to schedule. They also confirmed that authorities awarded certificates upon completion of the course, in line with the programme timeline.
Furthermore, the fact-checking handle stated that all components of the visit remained official. It clarified that travel, participation, and academic engagements followed pre-scheduled plans and established protocol.
Finally, the statement said the clarification aimed to ensure accuracy. It also sought to prevent any misunderstanding regarding the Chief Minister’s official and academic commitments.
