Facial recognition attendance to start at Nalgonda Collectorate from September 1

Hyderabad: Facial recognition attendance will start at the Nalgonda Collectorate from September 1. Collector B. Chandrasekhar said the system will cover employees and officers across all departments.

The system will cover everyone from watchmen to senior officers, according to the Collector. He said the move would improve time management and bring greater transparency to attendance monitoring.

Chandrasekhar directed officials to register employees from all departments on the facial recognition attendance app. He also said the administration would use attendance records to process salaries and other employee bills.

The Collector issued the directions while addressing officials at the Collectorate on Monday. He asked departments to complete employee registration before the new system takes effect.

Facial recognition attendance linked to salary processing

Chandrasekhar also directed officials to plant saplings in large numbers at government institutions and offices across the district. The plantation drive will take place on August 25 as part of Vanamahotsavam.

He further instructed officials to prioritise families living in huts under the second phase of Indiramma Indlu. The direction focused on identifying eligible beneficiaries for the housing programme.

Later, officials unveiled a financial literacy awareness poster at the meeting. District Lead Bank Manager Shramik attended the programme along with senior district officials.

Additional Collectors J. Srinivas and Prem Karan Reddy also participated. Trainee Assistant Collector N. Srikanth Reddy, DRDO Shekhar Reddy, DRDO Dasharath and other officials attended the meeting.
