Elderly father accuses daughters of fraudulently taking farmland

Hyderabad: An elderly father approached the Suryapet District Collector after accusing his three daughters of fraudulently transferring his agricultural land into their names. He sought justice under the Senior Citizens Act.

Eniga Ellareddy, a resident of Midatanapalli village in Atmakur (S) mandal, submitted a complaint to the Collector. He said the farmland in Survey No. 171 at Lingampalli Revenue Village is his only source of livelihood in old age.

Elderly father alleges fraudulent land transfer

Ellareddy said his daughters, Pasam Laxmamma, Chidumulla Malleswari and Kuntla Sunitha, took him to the Nuthankal Tahsildar’s office. He alleged that they promised to take care of him in his old age. He claimed they obtained his signatures without explaining the documents.

According to the complainant, his daughters later transferred the land into their names without his knowledge. He urged the Collector to cancel the alleged mutation. He also requested officials to restore the pattadar passbook in his name.

Ellareddy said he and his wife have suffered severe mental distress since discovering the alleged transfer. Meanwhile, local residents urged the district administration to investigate the complaint under the Senior Citizens Act. They also appealed to officials to provide justice to the elderly couple.
