Hyderabad: Telangana Health Minister Damodar Rajanarasimha on Monday declared that education and healthcare remain the top priorities of the state government. He called them vital to holistic development.
The minister, accompanied by Nagarkurnool MP Mallu Ravi, MLC Damodar Reddy, MLAs Dr. Vamshikrishna and Dr. Rajesh Reddy, and other officials, inaugurated and laid foundation stones for various infrastructure works in Nagarkurnool municipality. The projects included a ₹10 crore bridge at Endabetla and ₹12 crore in CC roads. Additionally, they included classrooms worth ₹1.05 crore at the Zilla Parishad High School. The projects also featured a ₹9 crore junior college building, a ₹10 crore drainage system, and a ₹3.14 crore mini tank bund upgrade at Kesari Samudram.
Integrated schools, trauma centres and modern hospitals planned
Rajanarasimha said the government is constructing 105 integrated schools with a ₹200 crore outlay. The government has already set up 109 trauma centres and 37 ‘Pranaam’ centres for the older people. He stressed the importance of infrastructure, teacher appointments, and digital learning tools. These are essential to raise educational standards across Telangana.
The minister said CM Revanth Reddy is placing special focus on health and education. Efforts are also underway to modernise rural hospitals with upgraded medical equipment and sufficient staffing. He urged officials to complete all sanctioned works within deadlines to ensure timely delivery of benefits to the public.
Farmers and women’s welfare also in focus
Interacting with students, Rajanarasimha encouraged them to pursue goals through discipline and planning. He also detailed support for farmers under Rythu Bharosa, Rythu Bhima, free power, and crop loan waivers.
He announced ₹7.55 crore in interest subsidies for 7,119 women SHG members in Nagarkurnool. He also confirmed the establishment of a Hyderabad Public School in Vangoor mandal under the ₹2,500 crore Young India Integrated Schools programme.
