Eagle Force seizes 41 kg marijuana, arrests three in Hyderabad operation

Hyderabad: An Eagle Force seizure resulted in the recovery of 41.01 kg of marijuana allegedly being smuggled from Odisha to Hyderabad through a private travel bus. Three accused, including the driver, conductor and helper of the bus, were arrested during the operation, officials said.

Police estimated the value of the seized marijuana at around Rs. 20.5 lakh. The operation was carried out on Sunday by the Rachakonda Narcotics Police Station team in coordination with the Eagle Force Regional Narcotics Control Cell, Khammam.

Eagle Force seizure carried out during joint inspection

The joint team conducted vehicle inspections near Mahavir Vanasthali National Park at Autonagar. During the checks, officers intercepted a private bus operated under the name “Baba Bholenath” Travels.

Police alleged that the bus was transporting marijuana from Odisha to Hyderabad. Following the inspection, officers seized the 41.01 kg of contraband and took the driver, conductor and helper into custody.

The Eagle Force seizure forms part of the ongoing efforts by law enforcement agencies to curb interstate narcotics trafficking. Further investigation into the case is underway.
