DGP C.V. Anand reviews police station reorganisation in four commissionerates

Hyderabad: Telangana Director General of Police (DGP) C.V. Anand reviewed pending issues related to police station reorganisation across the Hyderabad, Cyberabad, Malkajgiri and Future City Commissionerates. He directed officials to complete the jurisdictional restructuring strictly in accordance with Government Orders.

The DGP instructed officials to align police station boundaries with municipal, revenue and court jurisdictions. He also said long-term planning, urban expansion, population growth and future administrative requirements should guide the exercise. Further, he directed officials to consult all stakeholders before finalising the proposals.

C.V. Anand also reviewed disputed police station limits in parts of Hyderabad city. He issued specific directions to resolve the pending jurisdictional issues and complete the reorganisation process.

Meanwhile, the DGP said the restructuring should improve operational efficiency across the police department. He also instructed officials to ensure that the changes do not inconvenience citizens, government departments or the judiciary.
