Hyderabad: Deputy Chief Minister Bhatti Vikramarka marked the beginning of the New Year by offering prayers at Tirumala, where he sought divine blessings for the state and its people.
As part of the visit, Deputy Chief Minister Bhatti Vikramarka reached the Tirumala Sri Venkateswara Swamy Temple along with his family members. On arrival, Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams officials accorded him a ceremonial welcome.
Thereafter, Bhatti Vikramarka entered the temple through the Vaikunta Dwaram and offered prayers to Lord Venkateswara. He also fulfilled his vows as part of the New Year observances.
Following the darshan, Vedic scholars blessed him at the Ranganaayakula Mandapam. Subsequently, TTD officials presented him with Srivari theertha and prasadam.
Bhatti Vikramarka prays for Telangana’s development
Later, speaking to the media, Bhatti Vikramarka said he prayed for peace, prosperity, and happiness in both Telugu states. He further stated that he sought divine blessings for economic strength and balanced growth.
At the same time, the Deputy Chief Minister expressed hope that Telangana would achieve all-round development in the coming year. Accordingly, he said the government aimed to roll out more welfare schemes in line with people’s aspirations.
In addition, Bhatti Vikramarka conveyed New Year greetings to the public and wished for health and harmony for all citizens.
Meanwhile, BRS leader and MLC Dasoju Sravan Kumar and Manoj Sinha also offered prayers at Tirumala. After their darshan, they extended New Year greetings to people across the country.
Earlier in the day, pan-India film star Prabhas’s aunt Shyamala Devi met Bhatti Vikramarka and his spouse and conveyed New Year wishes, sources said.
