Dasyam Vinay Bhaskar alleges irregularities in KUDA land auction

Hyderabad: Former Warangal East MLA Dasyam Vinay Bhaskar alleged irregularities in the KUDA land auction. He accused Congress MLA Nayini Rajender Reddy and KUDA Chairman Inagala Venkatrami Reddy of corruption during a press conference on Tuesday.

Dasyam alleged that the two leaders had targeted Bhadrakali Lake for encroachment. He also claimed they had committed irregularities in the functioning of the Kakatiya Urban Development Authority (KUDA).

The former MLA claimed land in Warangal was worth around ₹1.5 lakh per square yard. However, he alleged that KUDA auctioned it for about ₹60,000 per square yard on June 21. He further claimed Nayini Rajender Reddy participated in the auction through a syndicate.

Dasyam also questioned why KUDA conducted the auction offline instead of adopting an online tender process. He alleged that officials auctioned a 2.27-acre property inside the KUDA office.

He further alleged that the auction caused a revenue loss of around ₹70 crore.

The Congress leaders and KUDA officials had not publicly responded to the allegations at the time of reporting.
