Dasoju Sravan warns Revanth Reddy over attacks on KCR

Hyderabad: BRS MLC Dasoju Sravan issued a sharp open letter on Monday to Chief Minister Revanth Reddy, accusing him of political vendetta and warning against continued attacks on former chief minister K Chandrashekar Rao.

In the letter, Sravan cautioned Revanth Reddy to “remain careful.” He asserted that KCR was not merely an individual but a symbol of Telangana’s self-respect and identity. Therefore, he said, targeting KCR reflected insecurity rather than leadership.

Moreover, Sravan alleged that repeated personal attacks on KCR aimed to divert public attention from governance failures. According to him, such rhetoric exposed arrogance and weakened democratic norms.

Describing authority as temporary, Sravan said power remained only a five-year “rented house,” not a permanent estate. Consequently, he warned that using authority as a weapon against political opponents would inevitably backfire.

Referring to political history, Sravan said attempts to suppress leaders often increased public sympathy for them. As a result, he added, efforts to diminish KCR would only strengthen his standing among the people.

Challenging Revanth Reddy directly, Sravan urged him to prove leadership through governance outcomes. Instead of personal attacks, he said, the chief minister should surpass KCR’s achievements across sectors.

Further, Sravan said the clash between rulers’ arrogance and people’s self-respect always ended in favour of public dignity. Hence, he stressed that respect after losing power mattered more than authority while holding office.

Concluding the open letter, Sravan warned that history branded those who harassed rivals as political villains. Finally, he asserted that Telangana’s self-respect could not be silenced and said KCR remained a powerful symbol of the state’s identity.
