Cyberabad Police celebrate 150 years of Vande Mataram with collective singing

Hyderabad: The Cyberabad Police marked the 150th anniversary of Vande Mataram on Friday with a grand collective singing event at the Parade Grounds of the Commissionerate. The programme reflected national pride and unity, bringing together officers from all police stations under the Commissionerate’s jurisdiction.

At the CAR Headquarters Parade Grounds, ADCP J. SK Shameer supervised the event. Moreover, police personnel from different wings of the force assembled in large numbers and sang Vande Mataram in unison. The celebration aimed to honour the National Song’s legacy while promoting patriotism among officers.

Senior officers addressed the gathering and highlighted the role of Vande Mataram in India’s freedom struggle. They said the song continues to remind citizens of their shared heritage and national unity. Furthermore, they emphasised that its spirit must guide public service and community commitment.

ACP Arun, Reserve Inspectors Shekar, Venkatramana, and Anil Kumar, along with RSI and other staff, took part in the event. In addition, similar singing programmes were organised simultaneously at every police station under the Cyberabad Commissionerate. These events helped spread patriotic enthusiasm and collective purpose among personnel.

The 150-year commemoration of Bankim Chandra Chatterjee’s composition formed part of a national initiative. It also reaffirmed the police department’s dedication to fostering unity, discipline, and service to the nation.
