Congress holds mock funeral for BRS MLA Kaushik Reddy over remarks on CM Revanth

Hyderabad: Congress workers on Sunday staged a mock funeral for BRS MLA Padi Kaushik Reddy in Shamshabad, protesting his comments against Chief Minister Revanth Reddy. The symbolic demonstration, held in the Rajendranagar constituency, was led by Rangareddy district Youth Congress president Nagender Reddy.

Protesters warned that Kaushik Reddy would face stiff resistance and public backlash if he failed to issue an immediate and unconditional apology. The Youth Congress accused the MLA of making baseless and provocative remarks against a Chief Minister whose governance, they claimed, is being welcomed by the public.

Nagender Reddy said the BRS leadership is unable to digest the developmental efforts and popular support garnered by the Congress government and has turned to personal attacks. He warned that Kaushik Reddy would be “stopped wherever he goes” if he continues targeting the CM.

The protest marks a sharp escalation in political tensions between the ruling Congress and the opposition BRS in Telangana.
