HYDERABAD: Congress leader and Tourism Development Corporation Chairman, Patel Ramesh Reddy, has publicly challenged Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS) MLA Jagadish Reddy to resign from his legislative position. Speaking at Gandhi Bhavan, Patel Ramesh Reddy criticized Jagadish Reddy’s alleged arrogance despite BRS losing power, stating that if he has the courage, he should resign and contest again to test public support.
Patel Ramesh Reddy accused Jagadish Reddy of engaging in inappropriate behavior in the legislative assembly and warned BRS leaders against such actions. He emphasized the role of the opposition in bringing public issues to the government’s attention and expressed readiness to ensure Jagadish Reddy loses his deposit in the next election.
Questioning Jagadish Reddy’s financial dealings, Patel Ramesh Reddy alleged that he amassed wealth during his tenure as a minister, behaving like a dictator and accumulating thousands of crores. He pointed out that BRS lost 11 out of 12 seats in Nalgonda district, with Jagadish Reddy narrowly winning one seat, yet still speaking arrogantly as if still in power.
Patel Ramesh Reddy demanded that Jagadish Reddy be suspended not only from the budget sessions but for the entire term, citing his conduct in the assembly.
