Congress flag will continue to fly over Jubilee Hills, says Sridhar Babu

Hyderabad: IT and Industries Minister D. Sridhar Babu on Friday stated that the Congress flag would continue to fly over Jubilee Hills. He accused opposition parties of resorting to lies and conspiracies during the ongoing by-election campaign.

While campaigning in Yellareddyguda for Congress candidate Naveen Yadav, Sridhar Babu conducted door-to-door outreach. During these visits, he listened to public complaints and immediately directed officials to resolve civic issues.

According to the Minister, the Congress government remains committed to its pre-election promises. Among its top priorities are urban development and people-focused welfare programmes. He criticised the previous BRS administration for ignoring Hyderabad’s needs for nearly a decade.

“They only built a few flyovers and underpasses. True progress needs intent and honesty not just media campaigns,” he remarked. In contrast, he said, the current government was working with purpose to reflect the aspirations of the people of Telangana.

In response to opposition criticism, Sridhar Babu said fabricated narratives would not slow down the State’s development. He urged voters not to be swayed by “divisive talk and empty promises.”

Describing Naveen Yadav as an engaged and aware leader, he said the Congress candidate understands the constituency’s challenges and regularly interacts with local residents. Voters, he added, should back a government committed to inclusive and transparent governance.

Also present during the campaign were MLA Makan Singh Raj Thakur, Rangareddy DCC president Challa Narasimha Reddy, and other party leaders.
