Chikkadpally SPO constable dies after suffering heart attack on duty

Hyderabad: A Chikkadpally SPO constable died after suffering a heart attack while reporting for duty at the Chikkadpally Police Station on Monday. Police identified the deceased as Nagarjuna Reddy, 60.

Chikkadpally Circle Inspector Madhubabu confirmed the incident. He said Nagarjuna Reddy had reached the police station to begin his duties as usual.

The constable suddenly collapsed after suffering a heart attack. His colleagues immediately shifted him to a hospital near RTC Cross Roads for emergency treatment. However, doctors could not save him, and he died while undergoing treatment, police said.

Chikkadpally SPO constable served Army and police

Nagarjuna Reddy hailed from Malkajgiri. Before joining the police department as a Special Police Officer (SPO), he had served in the Indian Army and retired from military service. Later, he worked as an SPO at several police stations, including Domalguda and Chikkadpally. During his service, he carried out law enforcement duties in different parts of Hyderabad.

The Chikkadpally SPO constable is survived by his wife, a son and a daughter. His death left his family members and fellow police personnel in deep grief. Meanwhile, colleagues remembered his years of service in both the Army and the police department.
