Bonalu festival coordination meeting held in Secunderabad

Hyderabad: Police and government departments on Thursday reviewed security and administrative preparations for the Shree Ujjaini Mahankali Bonalu Festival-2026 during a high-level convergence meeting held in Secunderabad.

Deputy Commissioner of Police (Secunderabad Zone) Rakshitha Krishna Murthy chaired the meeting at Vishwakarma Function Hall under the jurisdiction of Mahankali Police Station. She directed all departments to work in close coordination to ensure the festival was conducted smoothly, safely and peacefully.

Senior police officers, including Additional DCP J. Narsaiah, Assistant Commissioner of Police Ch. Sridhar and Mahankali Police Station Inspector S. Ravi Kumar, attended the meeting.

Bonalu festival coordination focuses on safety measures

Heads of various government departments, members of the Ujjaini Mahankali Temple Committee, organisers of Palaram Bandi, Thotela and welcome stages, along with other festival committee members, participated in the review meeting.

Officials discussed security arrangements, public safety measures, crowd management and other precautionary steps required for the annual festival. The DCP stressed the importance of seamless coordination among all participating departments and instructed officials to complete the planned arrangements within the stipulated time to ensure the smooth conduct of the celebrations.
