Hyderabad: BJP State President N. Ramchander Rao called on voters in Asifabad and Kaghaznagar to support the party in the upcoming municipal elections. He promised transparent governance and full rollout of Central welfare schemes if BJP wins.
At a rally in Sirpur-Kaghaznagar on Saturday, Rao was joined by Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis, MP Godem Nagesh, and MLA Palvai Harish Babu. He claimed the crowd’s energy reflected a growing wave in BJP’s favour.
BJP slams state governance, highlights Central aid for Telangana
Rao accused the State government of misusing Finance Commission funds. He pledged that BJP would redirect them solely for urban development. Moreover, he questioned Chief Minister Revanth Reddy’s complaints about budget constraints, noting the delay in salary payments to government staff.
Criticising the Congress leadership, Rao alleged “tax terrorism” and claimed the government had ignored OBC welfare. He also raised concerns about the safety of temples and protection of temple lands. According to him, BJP remains the only viable option for the state’s progress.
Furthermore, Rao pointed out that most current development works are backed by Central funding. He cited examples like free ration rice, Swachh Bharat sanitation, LED streetlights, and urban infrastructure upgrades.
In conclusion, Rao said both the BRS and Congress governments had failed the people. Therefore, he urged voters to give BJP the mandate to lead Telangana into a better future.
