BJP central team begins poll strategy for Telangana municipal elections

Hyderabad: The BJP central team formed to oversee the upcoming municipal and corporation elections in Telangana has initiated its election strategy discussions with the state leadership.

Appointed by newly elected BJP National President Nitin Nabin, the three-member team includes Maharashtra Minister Ashish Shelar as election in-charge. It also includes former Rajasthan BJP president Ashok Parnami, and Rajya Sabha MP Rekha Sharma as co-incharges.

BJP plans coordinated campaign for Telangana municipal elections

On Wednesday, the team held a meeting with the BJP’s Municipal and Corporation Election Monitoring Committee at the state party office in Hyderabad. The session was chaired by Telangana BJP President N. Ramchander Rao. It focused on campaign planning, programme design, and strategic coordination for the civic polls.

Party sources said the central team reviewed the implementation status of BJP’s pre-approved action plan. They also emphasised the need for close coordination with ground-level workers.

Earlier, the committee also held a separate consultation with Mahila Morcha leaders. That meeting too was presided over by Ramchander Rao.

The strategy sessions were attended by Ashish Shelar, Ashok Parnami, Telangana BJP in-charge Abhay Patil, organisational general secretary Chandrashekhar Tiwari, and several state general secretaries and senior party leaders.
