Bhatti Vikramarka urges Jubilee Hills to elect Naveen Yadav for crores in development

Hyderabad: Deputy Chief Minister Bhatti Vikramarka Mallu appealed to voters in Jubilee Hills to elect Congress candidate Naveen Yadav with a massive majority, saying only such a mandate would enable the government to channel thousands of crores into constituency development.

Congress promises large-scale development in Jubilee Hills

Speaking at a press conference in Yousufguda on Sunday, Bhatti Vikramarka said Naveen Yadav, a local leader from a weaker section, had long demonstrated his commitment to public service through consistent social work, regardless of holding office.

“If Naveen Yadav is elected, the Congress government will coordinate across departments to bring massive funds for the development of Jubilee Hills, especially for areas still grappling with slum conditions,” he said.

Focus on civic upgrades and inclusive governance

The Deputy CM said Naveen Yadav’s leadership would accelerate solutions to local issues such as roads, drainage, drinking water supply, and ration card access. He described Yadav as a young leader with dedication and capability.

He criticized the BRS for neglecting Hyderabad during its decade in power. “The BRS ruled for ten years but ignored civic infrastructure. Since Congress came to power, we’ve already initiated works worth ₹100 crore in Jubilee Hills alone,” he added.

Welfare schemes and governance contrast with BRS

Bhatti Vikramarka said the previous BRS regime had made promises it failed to deliver jobs for every household, double-bedroom homes, and land for Dalits. He accused the party of blocking welfare benefits and questioned the credibility of senior BRS leaders, including Harish Rao.

“Everyone knows the truth behind his claims, including whether he owns a house in Delhi,” he remarked. He dismissed Rao’s remarks about IT raids as deflections, noting such raids were conducted as part of routine enforcement.

Congress highlights major welfare achievements

Listing key Congress initiatives, he said the government is spending ₹1 lakh crore annually on welfare schemes. These include:

  • Free bus travel for women
  • Supply of fine rice to 96 lakh families
  • Issuance of new ration cards and backlog clearances
  • Establishment of Young India International School in Jubilee Hills
  • Revival of interest-free DWCRA loans, benefiting 15,000 SHG members
  • Increased funds for overseas scholarships
  • 40% hike in hostel diet charges
  • 200% rise in cosmetic/personal allowances for students
  • Expansion of Aarogyasri health coverage to ₹10 lakh per family

He also highlighted the Indiramma Housing Scheme under which 4.5 lakh houses have been sanctioned in the first phase, with construction underway for each ₹5 lakh home.

Congress delivers on jobs, education reforms

The Deputy CM drew a comparison with the BRS’s failure to conduct Group-I exams over a decade. “Within two years, our government conducted Group-I and Group-II exams and issued appointment letters. We’ve provided 70,000 government jobs and created lakhs of private sector opportunities,” he said.

He closed his address with a direct appeal: “Elect Naveen Yadav with a massive majority. Only then can we transform Jubilee Hills into a model constituency.”
