Bhatti Vikramarka orders strict monitoring to meet revenue targets

Hyderabad: Deputy Chief Minister Bhatti Vikramarka Mallu instructed the Commercial Taxes Department to intensify monitoring at the field level to achieve prescribed revenue targets. He chaired a review meeting with senior officials at Dr. B. R. Ambedkar Secretariat on Friday.

He directed officials to identify areas of revenue loss and ensure that staff performance and business transactions are continuously monitored from the central office. He announced that he would personally review the department’s progress once every 15 days. The Deputy CM also ordered a detailed study and report on revenue losses incurred due to GST rate rationalisation.

Deputy CM pushes revenue targets monitoring with AI use

Bhatti Vikramarka ordered strict action against GST evaders and directed the establishment of a continuous surveillance system. He warned that negligence could endanger state revenues. He also asked senior officials to use AI technology regularly for stronger monitoring.

The Deputy CM instructed the formulation of an action plan to address challenges in tax collection across the state. He reviewed progress made this year compared to last year in enforcement, audit, and other divisions. He further suggested forming internal committees to explore ways of increasing revenue and to submit reports.

Principal Secretary of Finance Sandeep Kumar Sultania, Principal Secretary of Commercial Taxes S. A. Rizvi, Commissioner Haritha, and other senior officials attended the meeting.
