Bhatti Vikramarka attends Freedom 250 celebrations in Hyderabad

Hyderabad: Deputy Chief Minister Bhatti Vikramarka Mallu attended the Freedom 250 celebrations at the United States Consulate in Hyderabad and highlighted the growing partnership between Telangana and the United States across several strategic sectors.

Speaking at the event, Bhatti Vikramarka said the relationship between Telangana and the US was rooted in strong cultural connections. He noted that Telugu is among the fastest-growing languages in the United States and described the bond as deeper than economic cooperation alone.

The Deputy Chief Minister said Hyderabad’s growth story had contributed significantly to global business leadership. He remarked that establishing a development centre in Hyderabad often resulted in the emergence of global CEOs and industry leaders.

Freedom 250 celebrations highlight expanding partnership

Bhatti Vikramarka said cooperation between Telangana and the United States was expanding beyond the information technology sector into artificial intelligence, clean energy, life sciences and aerospace. He said these sectors offered new opportunities for collaboration and investment.

During the event, officials unveiled a plaque naming the road near the US Consulate after US President Donald Trump. The ceremony was attended by US Ambassador Sergio Gor and US Consul General Lara Williams.

The Deputy Chief Minister also appreciated the US Consulate for incorporating regional heritage elements into the design of its new building. He expressed confidence that bilateral ties would continue to strengthen in the coming years through deeper engagement and cooperation.
