Hyderabad: A 14-year-old Class 8 student died after a battery exploded at his home in Gudem village of Chinthalamanepalli mandal in Kumram Bheem Asifabad district on Wednesday. The incident left the boy with severe injuries to his face and hands.
The victim, identified as Lokesh, was the elder son of Nikadi Sharada and Ganesh. According to local information, he was carrying out experiments with batteries near the electrical switchboard inside his house when the explosion occurred.
Family members rushed Lokesh to the Sirpur-T Government Hospital for treatment. However, he died on the way because of the serious injuries.
