Akunuri Murali resigns as Telangana Education Commission chief

Hyderabad: Akunuri Murali, retired IAS officer and Chairman of the Telangana Education Commission, resigned from his post on Friday.

He submitted his resignation letter to Chief Secretary K. Ramakrishna Rao.

The resignation came nearly four months before completion of his term, triggering discussion in political and educational circles.

The Telangana government had constituted the Education Commission to strengthen and reform the state’s education system.
