AIMIM urges Telangana government to halt Gudimalkapur market relocation

Hyderabad: AIMIM leaders urged the Telangana government to stop the proposed Gudimalkapur market relocation from Gudimalkapur to Moinabad. They said the move would affect the livelihoods of more than 10,000 families.

Acting on the instructions of AIMIM president Asaduddin Owaisi, Karwan MLA Kausar Mohiuddin, Nampally MLA Majid Hussain and the president of the Gudimalkapur Vegetable and Flower Market Committee met Chief Secretary Sanjay Jaju, IAS.

Gudimalkapur market relocation opposed by AIMIM

The delegation submitted a representation on Hyderabad MP Asaduddin Owaisi’s official letterhead. Meanwhile, they urged the government to withdraw the proposal to shift the vegetable and flower market to Moinabad.

Further, the delegation stated that relocating the market would adversely affect thousands of families who depend on it for their livelihood.

Separately, Asaduddin Owaisi spoke to Agriculture, Marketing and Cooperation Minister Tummala Nageswara Rao. He requested the minister to keep the proposed relocation on hold.
