Aadi Srinivas refutes Jubilee Hills bypoll rumours, hits back at KTR

Hyderabad: Government Whip Aadi Srinivas on Thursday dismissed rumours that the Congress lost the Jubilee Hills bypoll, calling them false and politically motivated. Speaking to reporters, he accused KTR of waiting “like a fox near a trap” for the government to fall if he were defeated.

Srinivas said KTR’s remarks revealed his conspiracies and frustration. “He admits he can stoop to any level for power,” Srinivas said, mocking the BRS leader. The Whip added that KTR could not digest seeing Chief Minister Revanth Reddy in the top post and had grown restless ever since.

According to Srinivas, KTR once predicted that the Congress government would collapse within two days of taking office. The Whip noted that his schemes failed when ten BRS MLAs pledged support to the ruling party. “Those defections exposed his weakness,” he remarked.

Srinivas criticised KTR for repeating old rhetoric ahead of the bypoll. “He stayed silent for months after losing MLAs. Now, before the Jubilee Hills bypoll, he’s back with the same talk,” he said. The Whip declared that the Congress would win and insisted that defeat claims were baseless.

He warned KTR to prepare for the results. “After our victory, let him see whether his post as BRS working president remains or sinks into the Bay of Bengal,” Srinivas said sharply. He reminded that BRS had earlier lost both Dubbaka and Huzurabad bypolls while in power.

The Whip predicted that the BRS could fade from Telangana’s political map after the Jubilee Hills result. He also mocked the party for reportedly shifting its Andhra Pradesh office “under an OYO Rooms signboard.”

In a final swipe, Srinivas condemned BRS leaders for making personal attacks on Congress candidate Naveen Yadav. “Why should voters trust a party that thrives on abuse and lies?” he asked.
