Aadhaar hurdle threatens child’s future, Praja Vani intervenes

Hyderabad: An Aadhaar hurdle child case involving a Class 4 student came up at the Praja Vani programme after errors in official records blocked her enrolment.

Sai Krupa studies at Nandanavanam Government School in Karmanghat. She could not get an Aadhaar card due to incorrect surnames in her parents’ birth certificates.

The issue surfaced when the child approached the Praja Vani programme at Mahatma Jyotiba Phule Praja Bhavan and sought help.

G. Chinna Reddy directed GHMC officials to correct the records and enable Aadhaar enrolment.

Officials said the birth certificates of her parents, Lazar and Vinoda, carried the wrong surname “S”. They clarified that it should be “M”.

They said the correction is necessary for Aadhaar issuance.

Sai Krupa belongs to a family of construction workers. Authorities said resolving the Aadhaar hurdle issue is vital for her education and access to services.

Officials have started steps to fix the records and ensure she gets her Aadhaar card.
