Hyderabad: Godavari water pumping from Sripada Yellampalli Reservoir to Mid Manair Reservoir continued smoothly on Sunday. The Yellampalli to Mid Manair operation was carried out through the Nandi and Gayatri pump houses.
Four motors were operated at the Nandi pump house in Nandi Medaram. Four more motors were also running at the Gayatri pump house in Lakshmipur of Ramadugu mandal.
As a result, 12,600 cusecs of water was reaching the Mid Manair Reservoir through the flood canal via Nandi Medaram. The pumping operation continued as part of the ongoing transfer of Godavari water.
Yellampalli to Mid Manair water flow continues
Meanwhile, water was being discharged from the Mid Manair Reservoir into the downstream Lower Manair Reservoir. The discharge followed the continued inflow reaching Mid Manair through the flood canal.
The pumping and downstream discharge operations were continuing smoothly on Sunday. The source did not provide details on the volume being released from Mid Manair into Lower Manair Reservoir.
