Warangal Congress rift resurfaces over Kadiyam Srihari

Hyderabad: The Warangal Congress rift resurfaced after Telangana Minister Konda Surekha objected to senior MLA Kadiyam Srihari’s review meeting with district officials and accused him of exceeding his role. The latest development has revived discussions over internal differences within the Congress in the undivided Warangal district.

The controversy began after Srihari held a special review meeting on Assembly constituency issues and sought a comprehensive master plan for the undivided Warangal district. However, Surekha alleged that the MLA had interfered in district-level administration and placed undue pressure on officials in violation of protocol.

She also took the matter to the party leadership. According to reports, Surekha wrote to the AICC leadership and Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy expressing dissatisfaction with Srihari’s conduct and alleging interference in district politics.

Furthermore, the dispute has drawn renewed attention despite earlier efforts by the Congress high command to reconcile the two leaders.
