Hyderabad: Labour and Employment Minister Dr. G. Vivek Venkatswamy on Monday said that India’s Constitution, envisioned by Dr. B. R. Ambedkar, continues to guide the nation’s inclusive development, even 77 years after its adoption.
Speaking after hoisting the national flag at the Chennur camp office during Republic Day celebrations, Venkatswamy called the Constitution a visionary document shaped for long-term national progress. He said Ambedkar framed it with the goal of collective growth and unity, which still holds true today.
Nation moving forward with economic vision, says Minister
Venkatswamy said the present leadership is also focused on India’s future needs. Citing the recent World Economic Forum in Davos, he noted the country’s progress toward becoming a $3-trillion economy and expressed confidence in achieving that milestone.
He emphasised that accelerating economic growth is critical for national development and urged citizens to work together with dedication to drive the country forward.
Poverty eradication and employment remain key goals
The Minister highlighted that poverty eradication remains central to social progress. He recalled former Prime Minister Indira Gandhi’s slogan “Garibi Hatao” and said the current state government is taking concrete steps to provide housing and job opportunities for all.
Several party leaders and local residents from the constituency took part in the Republic Day function.
