Vanasthalipuram sub-registrar caught red-handed by ACB in ₹1 lakh bribe case

Hyderabad: The Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) on Friday caught Vanasthalipuram Sub-registrar S. Rajesh Kumar while he took a bribe of ₹70,000 through a middleman.

ACB officials said Rajesh Kumar (A1) had demanded ₹1 lakh from a complainant to clear the registration of his property. He collected ₹70,000 through K. Ramesh (A2), a resident of Nagole.

Investigators said the sub-registrar misused his office and acted dishonestly. The ACB team seized the money from Ramesh on the spot.

Officers arrested both men and took them to court. The judge sent them to judicial custody.
