Hyderabad: A seven-year-old boy suffered multiple burn injuries after his tuition teacher allegedly branded him with a hot metal spoon at her residence-classroom in Film Nagar. The incident, meanwhile, triggered anger among parents in the locality. Police said the assault formed part of the ongoing investigation into the “tuition teacher torture” case.
The Class I student from OU Colony attended evening tuition sessions run by the teacher, Sri Manasa. During the preliminary inquiry, officials found that she allegedly heated a spoon and pressed it against the child’s hands, legs and face. She reportedly claimed the boy was not concentrating on his studies; however, investigators said the injuries suggested sustained harm.

Soon after returning home on Wednesday, the child complained of pain. His parents then checked his body and found several burn marks.
