Hyderabad: BRS working president K.T. Rama Rao (KTR) took aim at Chief Minister Revanth Reddy on Wednesday, accusing him of playing destructive politics while failing to deliver on his promises.
Speaking outside BRKR Bhavan, KTR launched a no-holds-barred attack, declaring that Revanth couldn’t “even touch a strand of KCR’s hair.” He hailed KCR as more than just a leader, calling him the very embodiment of Telangana’s history and pride. “Summoning KCR for questioning in irrigation matters is like performing somersaults before Lord Hanuman,” KTR scoffed, criticising the Congress-led government for the Kaleshwaram probe.
He insisted that no contemporary politician in India matched KCR’s command of irrigation, adding, “In the end, truth and justice will prevail. KCR’s name will be inscribed in golden letters as the leader who fought for Telangana and transformed it into a fertile land.”
Not stopping there, KTR accused Revanth Reddy of focusing on tearing things down rather than building them up. “He came here to destroy not to develop. All he cares about is demolishing the homes of the poor, stalling projects, harassing opponents, and playing petty politics,” KTR charged.
Bringing up Revanth’s past, KTR reminded the public that it was KCR who had once ousted him after bitter political clashes. “No matter what this petty leader or his government tries, they can’t lay a finger on KCR. We will not rest until Revanth Reddy and his Congress party are chased out politically,” he thundered.
Urging the people of Telangana to see through what he called the Congress’s “cheap politics,” KTR warned that the public must hold the government accountable for its “fake six guarantees” and “420 false promises.” “The day is not far when Revanth Reddy will be politically stripped in public,” he declared.
Taking a swipe at the chief minister’s grasp of governance, KTR said, “Revanth Reddy doesn’t even understand how a cabinet functions. His priority isn’t farmers’ welfare it’s his own political survival. He takes sadistic pleasure in using inquiries as political weapons. Today it’s Kaleshwaram, tomorrow it’s phone-tapping, the day after tomorrow it’ll be something else. It’s all drama.”
Describing Revanth as an “incompetent CM,” KTR said Telangana had been left adrift under his watch. “He can’t even expand his cabinet or allocate portfolios properly,” KTR remarked, painting a bleak picture of the current administration.
