TGSPDCL launches ‘Currentolla Praja Baata’ to improve power services

Hyderabad: The Southern Power Distribution Company of Telangana Limited (TGSPDCL) has launched “Currentolla Praja Baata,” a field-level consumer outreach programme to improve electricity quality and service reliability across its regions.

Deputy Chief Minister Bhatti Vikramarka Mallu inaugurated the initiative on November 6 at a public meeting in Parigi. The programme will operate across TGSPDCL’s districts, including Nalgonda, Medak, Mahabubnagar, Ranga Reddy, and Hyderabad.

As part of the drive, officials from the CMD to linemen will visit the field every Tuesday, Thursday, and Saturday. They will inspect power lines, interact with consumers, and gather complaints and suggestions directly.

TGSPDCL Chairman and Managing Director Musharraf Faruqui said about 9,500 employees are involved, including directors, engineers, and line staff.

Teams will check LT, 11 kV, and 33 kV lines, transformers, AB switches, and related infrastructure. They will address any faults immediately.

Faruqui said the initiative will cut complaints, reduce power loss, and make the supply network stronger.
