Hyderabad: Telangana Public Service Commission (TGPSC) Chairman Burra Venkatesham on Monday announced that from 2026 onwards, all recruitment examinations will follow fixed timelines. These will last three months for single-stage exams and six months for multi-stage processes. The new system will start with exam timelines from 2026.
Speaking at the Republic Day celebrations held at the TGPSC office, Venkatesham said the new schedule aims to bring transparency and efficiency to public sector hiring. He called 2026 a landmark year for the Commission, marking the introduction of exam timelines from 2026. This is due to several reforms and operational changes.
Commission completes all pending recruitments
Venkatesham said all previously pending recruitment processes have now been concluded. He acknowledged that in earlier years, some selections had dragged on for several years. However, the new reforms would eliminate such delays by implementing exam timelines from 2026.
He emphasized that TGPSC, as a constitutional body, carries a responsibility to maintain public trust and deliver timely recruitment services. This commitment will be further demonstrated when exam timelines from 2026 are put into practice.
National recognition and structured training plans
The Chairman highlighted that TGPSC successfully hosted two national-level conferences in Hyderabad. He also noted that the Commission created a first-of-its-kind resource database. As a result, it became the only public service commission in the country with such a system.
He added that newly inducted Group-3 recruits will undergo structured training. Venkatesham urged all Commission staff to uphold their duties with integrity and commitment.
The event included a guard of honour and flag hoisting, attended by Commission Members Amir Ullah Khan, Prof. Narri Yadaiah, Laxmikanth Rathod, Secretary M. Haritha, officers, and staff.
