Hyderabad: Telangana leaders met Union Minister for Youth Affairs & Sports and Labour, Dr Mansukh Mandaviya, to push for key sports initiatives in the state, including the establishment of a dedicated sports university and the possibility of hosting Khelo India 2026.
The meeting, attended by Telangana Chief Minister Revanth Reddy, Chief Advisor for Sports Jitender Reddy, and MP (Convenor) Dr Mallu Ravi, also focused on the upcoming inauguration of the Telangana State Sports Policy.
Officials extended a formal invitation to the Union Minister to attend the launch ceremony of the state’s sports policy.
Leaders expressed optimism that these measures would boost sporting culture in Telangana and create new opportunities for athletes across disciplines.
