Jitender Reddy meets Oman envoy to boost Telangana investments, jobs

Hyderabad: Telangana government’s Special Representative and former MP A.P. Jitender Reddy met Oman Ambassador Issa Saleh Al Shibani at the Oman Embassy in New Delhi on Thursday to push investments and employment opportunities in Telangana.

During the meeting, both sides discussed measures to strengthen economic and cultural relations between Telangana and Oman. Jitender Reddy explained the state’s industry-friendly policies to the ambassador. In particular, he highlighted strong investment opportunities in IT, pharma, and life sciences sectors. He also discussed the scope for exporting granite, agricultural produce, and engineering goods from Telangana to Oman.

The talks also focused on the welfare of Telangana migrant workers living in Oman. Both sides reviewed the steps needed to ensure their safety and overall well-being.

Telangana–Oman ties set to expand through investment and cultural exchange

As part of cultural cooperation, Jitender Reddy proposed organising a friendly football match between the Telangana and Oman teams. The ambassador responded positively to the proposal and expressed interest in strengthening people-to-people ties.

Issa Saleh Al Shibani praised Telangana’s industrial growth and development. He assured that a high-level delegation from Oman would visit Telangana soon for further discussions. The proposed visit aims to explore partnerships in trade, investment, and cultural engagement.

Speaking later, Jitender Reddy said Telangana was one of the fastest-growing states in India. He expressed confidence that collaboration with countries like Oman would bring long-term economic and cultural benefits to both sides.
