Hyderabad: The first phase of the much-awaited Telangana Sarpanch elections began today. The nomination process opened across 4,236 villages and 37,450 wards, marking a crucial step in the Telangana Sarpanch elections.
Election officials confirmed that all necessary arrangements had been completed to receive nominations. These will be accepted from today until November 29. Candidates can file nomination papers daily between 10:30 AM and 5 PM for the Telangana Sarpanch elections.
Nomination scrutiny will take place on November 30. December 3 is the final date for candidates to withdraw their nominations. The final list of contesting candidates will also be published on the same day, along with the allocation of poll symbols, as part of the Telangana Sarpanch elections process.
Polling and results scheduled for December 11
Polling will be held on December 11 between 7 AM and 1 PM. Vote counting will commence at 2 PM on the same day, and results will be declared soon after, concluding the first phase of Telangana Sarpanch elections.
The Telangana State Election Commission has initiated this first phase. It aims to cover a significant portion of the state’s rural governance structure through democratic elections at the village level.
