Hyderabad: Telangana State Road Transport Corporation (TSRTC) has requested Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu to resume allotment of Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams (TTD) darshan tickets to the tourism and transport departments of both states.
TSRTC Managing Director V.C. Sajjanar raised the issue with Naidu on Sunday after attending the VIP break darshan at the Tirumala temple. Speaking to reporters outside the temple, Sajjanar said the TTD had stopped issuing darshan tickets to Telangana and Andhra Pradesh tourism bodies six months ago without explanation.
He said representations had already been made to the Andhra Pradesh government and the Chief Minister, urging them to intervene and restore the ticket quota. He also indicated plans to meet TTD officials directly to push for the reinstatement of ticket allocations.
