Telangana attracts ₹63,000 crore in life sciences investments: Sridhar Babu

Hyderabad: Telangana has secured ₹63,000 crore in investments in the life sciences sector over the last two years, said IT and Industries Minister D. Sridhar Babu, speaking at the Global Summit 2025 during a panel on Future City.

He credited the investments to the state’s consistent, industry-friendly policies and its status as a global vaccine hub. Telangana is currently home to over 2,000 pharmaceutical companies, collectively valued at USD 100 billion. Notably, 8 of the world’s top 10 pharma firms have operations in the state.

Sridhar Babu highlighted Telangana’s role in the global COVID-19 response and stressed that the state is committed to ensuring long-term industrial stability. He said the government is maintaining policy continuity by upholding key industrial decisions made by previous administrations over nearly three decades.
