Telangana government fast-tracks EJHS rollout in Delhi

Hyderabad: The Telangana government has fast-tracked the Employees and Journalists Health Scheme (EJHS) rollout in New Delhi. Apollo Hospitals has agreed to provide cashless treatment under the Rajiv Aarogyasri Health Care Trust.

This development follows Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy’s instructions. A.P. Jithender Reddy, Special Representative and Adviser, has been closely coordinating the process. A convergence meeting took place at Telangana Bhavan in New Delhi on Monday. Gaurav Uppal, Secretary (Coordination), chaired the session and has been monitoring the rollout directly.

Officials from Apollo Hospitals, Rajiv Aarogyasri Trust, and Telangana’s Resident Commissioner office attended. Ch. Chakravarthi, PRO and nodal officer for JHS, was also present. During the meeting, Apollo accepted the Trust’s empanelment terms. This marks a major step toward enabling EJHS benefits in the capital.

EJHS rollout in Delhi gains momentum with Apollo empanelment

With this agreement, Apollo joins the list of empanelled hospitals under the Telangana health scheme. The state has already completed empanelment with all MAX Group hospitals, including BLK–MAX Super Speciality Hospital.

Website integration and backend updates are in progress. According to officials, eligible beneficiaries can begin availing treatment at these facilities within 10 days.

Meanwhile, the Telangana government is pursuing empanelment of additional hospitals in Delhi. The Resident Commissioner and Secretary (Coordination) are regularly reviewing progress to ensure wider access to healthcare.
