Telangana Ease of Doing Business 2.0 to attract global investors

Hyderabad: The State government will roll out Telangana Ease of Doing Business 2.0 to position the State as a preferred global investment destination, IT and Industries Minister Duddilla Sridhar Babu announced on Tuesday.

The Minister said Telangana Ease of Doing Business 2.0 would be framed through stakeholder consultations. He stated that the policy aimed to accelerate industrial growth and strengthen investor confidence. It would also provide greater assurance to domestic and global investors.

Sridhar Babu spoke after inaugurating the Growth X 2026 conference organised by the Federation of Telangana Chambers of Commerce and Industry at JRC Convention Centre in Jubilee Hills.

He stressed that economic expansion must be planned and not accidental. Therefore, the government prepared Telangana Vision 2047 to steer long-term growth. He reiterated that the State, now a $200-billion economy, targeted $1 trillion by 2034 and $3 trillion by 2047.

The Minister said Telangana Ease of Doing Business 2.0 would serve as a key reform tool to achieve these targets. In addition, the government adopted a three-pronged strategy “CURE, PURE and RARE” to ensure balanced regional development.

He stated that every region, from urban centres to rural areas, must be brought onto the growth path. According to him, inclusive expansion remained central to the State’s agenda.

Highlighting structural economic shifts, Sridhar Babu said artificial intelligence and Industry 5.0 were reshaping business models and work culture. As a result, future competitiveness would depend on strong ecosystems rather than isolated firms.

He asserted that the State was building the future proactively instead of waiting for change to unfold. Moreover, he said the government sought to act as a collaborative partner to industry rather than a mere regulatory authority granting approvals.

The Minister invited entrepreneurs to work closely with the government under Telangana Ease of Doing Business 2.0. He said sustained dialogue with industry would help refine policies and improve outcomes.

BJP State president Ramchander Rao, Dr. D. Nageshwar Reddy, FTCCI president R. Ravi Kumar, representatives of Skyroot Aerospace, and Growth X 2026 convener Pankaj Diwan were present at the event.
