Hyderabad: Telangana Assembly witnessed the sudden death of senior IAS officer Naveen Mittal’s personal secretary Raju on Tuesday.
Raju had attended duty at the Assembly during the ongoing session. However, he suddenly fell seriously ill while inside the premises and collapsed.
Minister Vakiti Srihari immediately responded to the incident. He performed CPR on Raju and tried to save him.
Officials then rushed Raju to a nearby hospital for further medical treatment. However, doctors examined him and confirmed his death before he reached the hospital.
Telangana Assembly officials express grief
The incident shocked officials and public representatives. Several of them expressed deep grief over Raju’s sudden death.
Secretariat employees also expressed shock over his untimely passing. They mourned his death and conveyed their condolences to his family.
Meanwhile, Raju had been performing his official duties when the incident occurred. His collapse took place inside the Telangana Assembly during the session.
Srihari provided immediate assistance at the scene. He performed CPR before officials shifted Raju to a nearby hospital.
Doctors later confirmed that Raju had died before reaching the hospital. Officials and public representatives subsequently expressed condolences over his death.
The incident occurred while the Assembly session was underway on Tuesday.
